The operation can be done with: · iButton keys · Smart cards · Biometric scanners
Smart cards:Smart card technology reads through non-metallic items, enabling the card to be used while inside a wallet or purse without harming credit cards. As there is no physical contact between the card and the reader, neither will become worn-out by continuous use - unlike swipe readers. This also gives the advantage that dust and residue picked up from the working environment present no risk of clogging the reader. The cards' passive electronics mean that they do not require batteries and have a theoretical infinite life. The cards can be printed with your company’s logo or any information relevant to the card’s owner.
iButton:The iButton is a computer chip enclosed in a 16mm thick stainless steel can. Because of this, iButtons are resistant to drops, scratches and other mechanical damage. The iButton is wear-tested for 10-year durability. The iButton is small and portable enough to attach to a key fob, ring, watch, or other personal items.
Biometric scanners:Biometric scanners are devices that scan the user’s fingerprints and, on the basis of previous data, allow or deny access. Access control systems equipped with biometric scanners have no need for additional cards, keys and tokens for the employees.
